She still gives it cautious looks but the barking has subsided. Now our friend can live out his deflating short life in our parlour
She was a mess for days. I had to do therapy sessions with her and pretend it was a toy. At times we had to take it out of the room. The first time she saw it she went into a rage. We thought there was someone out side the window. She wasn't looking at it so we could figure out what she was freaking out at first.

That is the cutest thing - my dogs are big chickens too. My toy fox once thought he was brave and went chasing after some Canadian Geese - to late he found out they weren't intimidated by his ten pounds of canine terror and they attacked him! He came running back to me yipping with his tale between his legs. He has now learned to respect the goose.
Ha ha! Thats a great story. Those geese can do some damage. They scare the hell out of me! Poor little thing..
We recently spent $300 at the vet trying to figure out what was wrong with our German Shepard Lola, when she went crazy one morning - she was shaking like a leaf and would NOT leave Stephens side. It took us $300 in vet bills, 3 days of no one having any idea what was wrong until I finally realized that a smoke alarm in the back of the house had a low battery and was letting out an occasional high pitched beep. We thought she was dying! It was a dying battery instead.
Whoa! That is bizarre. Would have never thought. No wonder it was so hard to detect. Poor thing! Dogs are so strangely sensitive to their surroundings.
